
NovAtel's complete line of precise positioning engines, enclosures and antennas
is developed to meet a wide range of accuracy and cost requirements. With leading
edge technology for exceptional performance, our positioning engines are designed
for ease of integration, with low power consumption and comprehensive message suites
for configuration and data logging. All NovAtel engines are offered in multiple
software models, with additional functionality available through a simple field
upgrade. Our newest OEMV family of engines delivers high quality GNSS positioning
performance and many key features including GLONASS measurements, GPS modernization
(L2C & L5), API, Vision Correlator capability and integrated L-band. They are also
RoHS compliant.
In conditions where GPS alone is less reliable, NovAtel has developed SPAN Technology
-- an inertial measurement unit (IMU) combined with an enclosure to provide continuous
positioning and attitude. To complement SPAN, NovAtel offers GPS+Inertial post-processing
software through its Waypoint Products Group. NovAtel's GPS-700 antenna series offers
access to the GPS L1 and L2, and GLONASS L1/L2 frequencies, as well as the L-band
frequencies used by the OmniSTAR and Canada-wide Differential GPS (CDGPS) correction
services.
In addition to its OEM product line, NovAtel develops and supplies GPS navigational
receivers to national satellite-based augmentation systems (SBAS) worldwide. These
complex receivers incorporate NovAtel's Narrow Correlator tracking® technology,
MEDLL multipath mitigation, and Signal Quality Monitoring. As well, they receive
and process WAAS L1/L5 GEO and GPS L1/L2/L5 signals. The Company is also a leading
participant in Galileo receiver development and is marketing its EuroPak-15a configurable,
16 channel, GPS+Galileo receiver which has successfully acquired and tracked the
L1 BOC(1,1) signal transmitted by the Galileo GIOVE-A test satellite. This receiver
has been developed in Canada by NovAtel under a Canadian Space Agency Space Technology
Development Program.
